How to repair a torn badminton grip?

Repairing a torn badminton grip:

Notice those perforations in the middle of the grip where your fingers rest? If these tear through completely, you can\’t really continue to play with this grip because it hurts your hands. But don’t despair! It is possible to repair these torn grips. All you need is a needle and thread. Here’s what you need to do

Find a needle that is about the same size as the perforations in your grip.

Put a few drops of water on the torn portion of the grip.

Poke the needle through the grip from the top to the bottom just through the exposed fabric but not through your fingers (this will strengthen the tear and keep the rest of the grip together).

Pull your thread through until you have a sufficient length to work with.

Welt the thread around the tear to strengthen the grip.

Tie a knot at the end to secure your work.

Put a few drops of water on the ends of your thread to make them sticky and let them hang off the ends of your racket handle.

After a day or two, the thread will have adhered to the handle and you can remove it by warming the ends with a flame and pulling slowly toward it.

Your racket is now ready to play its game again.
